Spring Equinox meets Dragon Heads-Raising, tea mountains usher in a new chapter.

2026-03-20

The Spring Equinox, also known as the "Ascending Equinox", and referred to in ancient times as "Midday", "Equal Day and Night" or "the Month of Mid-Spring", is one of the 24 solar terms and the fourth solar term of spring. Today marks the Spring Equinox, which falls on the 2nd day of the 2nd lunar month — the Dragon Heads-Raising Day. As these two significant days coincide, Jiangxi Fupinhui Agricultural Comprehensive Development Co., Ltd. officially launches the spring tea picking of this year.

When solar terms meet, heaven and earth bring good fortune. The Spring Equinox brings equal lengths of day and night and mild weather, marking the balanced start of all living things growing. The Dragon Heads-Raising Day signals the awakening of hibernating dragons and increased rainfall, serving as a key moment for agricultural farming. Their arrival together foretells favorable weather and a prosperous tea harvest this year.

At the cooperative tea garden bases across Fuliang County, tea trees have sprouted fresh new buds. Having stored up nutrients throughout the winter, the spring tea buds are plump and sturdy, with tender leaves and rich internal substances — making this the best picking period of the year for top-quality tea.

The spring tea harvest has begun, and craftsmanship is set in motion. Early this morning, the company’s own bases and surrounding cooperative tea farmers simultaneously started picking the first batch of spring tea. Tea pickers carried baskets into the mountains to ensure the uniformity and freshness of the fresh leaves.

From Fresh Leaves to Spring Tea

Once the fresh leaves are brought down from the mountains, they will be immediately transported to the company’s primary processing factory. The leaves picked today will go through withering, fixation, rolling, drying and other processes before becoming spring tea with excellent color, aroma and taste. The entire production process is supervised by experienced tea masters, striving to preserve the fresh and brisk flavor of spring tea to the fullest extent.
